Marine Life
Alor’s waters are shaped by strong currents flowing through the Pantar Strait, creating nutrient-rich conditions that support a lively marine ecosystem. These currents attract large schools of fish, which in turn draw pelagic species like hammerhead and thresher sharks, melon-headed and pilot whales, as well as pods of spinner and bottlenose dolphins. The mix of deep ocean channels and abundant nutrients makes this area a prime spot for incredible wildlife encounters.
You’ll have the chance to see everything from whales and dolphins to hammerheads, thresher sharks, mola mola, and dugongs. Every dive offers something new and exciting.
